There has been a recent landslide in Turner's Hall Wood with fallen trees and debris blocking the route that requires careful scrambling to pass.
Deep in the heart of St Andrew amongst the natural beauty of the Barbadian countryside is the ancient tropical forest of Turner's Hall Woods. This incredible forest is home to an amazing array of flora and fauna. This place will transport you back in time to a period when Barbados was largely covered in dense tropical forest. Indeed, Turner's Hall Woods is one of the last remants of the ancient forest network that once covered large parts of Barbados.
This forest is public land: access is free. Please note there are no water fountains, restroom facilities or benches at Turner's Hall Woods.
Not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with mobility issues. Be very careful if you choose to explore this forest during or after heavy rains: the ground can be very slippy. Whilst the forest is open 24 hours a day, you should only explore it during daylight hours. Some routes through the forest are very narrow with steep drops. Avoid touching any flora or fauna in the forest. Please do not litter.
